Description

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the construction of Buda Castle first began in the 13th century, and since then the building has undergone a number of architectural changes. Today, it’s a combination of the medieval, Baroque, Baroque Revival and modernist styles, and its grounds provide an impressive lookout point over Pest. Budapest Castle is a royal historic palace built in the thirteenth century when the Hungary was invaded by the Mongol. The castle was destroyed but constructed later in the 14th century and was built in the Roman style of housing. Later the castle has replaced a palace constructed in the design known as the Gothic-style. The castle has been there to reflect the fortunes of the people of Hungary. It’s also home to the Hungarian National Gallery, an art museum showcasing local artists.
