Description

The Ferrari museum, or Galleria Ferrari, as it was called until April 2011, is a car museum located about 300 m from the Ferrari factories in Maranello, near Modena. It is dedicated to the car company of the prancing Horse. It does not only collect cars, but also exhibits prizes, photographs and other historical objects related to the history of Italian motoring. The performance also introduces technological innovations, many of which are the transition between racing cars and road models. The museum was opened in February of 1990, and a new wing was added in October of 2004. Ferrari took over the management of the museum in 1995. The total area is now 2,500 square meters and the annual number of visitors to the museum is about 180,000. The performance is for the most part the combination of Ferrari road and competition cars. Many of these specimens have become an icon of motoring.
