Hudson Brook Chasm offers a hundred-foot-long chasm and plenty of petite but powerful cascades. To see the chasm and the cascades contained within it, the state park has constructed a network of bridges, platforms, and observation decks for your viewing pleasure. Some may find the extensive fencing placed in and around the chasm distracting to the natural environment, but on the bright side it allows us to witness viewpoints that would otherwise be inaccessible. The geology of the area is fascinating. The white marble rock formations are worth the visit alone, with many potholes and curvy gorge walls that have been carved over many years. There is also a large, natural marble bridge after which the park is named. This is believed to be the only marble bridge in North America, and it is arguably the finest natural bridge in New England.
